About Growing Forests

Growing Forests is a Nova Scotia-based forest carbon company focused on carbon storage and ecological forestry. Through the acquisition and long-term management of mature, well-stewarded forests, Growing Forests creates high-integrity nature-based carbon credits while supporting biodiversity, climate resilience and responsible forest management.

Growing Forests’ project is certified under Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS Project ID 5003) using the Improved Forest Management methodology. Growing Forests owns 1993 acres of forest today with another planned 770 acres under contract and closing by August 31, 2026.
